forget the rest just give us 5 screens!
ReplyDeleteThe live wallpapers were just eye candy that I can live without, but the 5 screens missing is not OK.
ReplyDeleteAt the same time, I'm interested to see what other bug fixes come with this update.
yeah fuk all the rest..gimme 5 home screens and ill be happy!!!
ReplyDeleteFrom the news on heard I might just stick with sholesmod.......cause that has almost all the 2.1 updated apps.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, anons. I don't mind the app tray at all, I just want more home screens in the default launcher. None of the replacements are any good.
ReplyDeleteI will root if live wallpapers are not supported! More home screens are easy to get with home replacement apps. GDE is the best I've used. And most everything else has been ported over, so that's really the only thing missing.
ReplyDeleteMore home screens please.
ReplyDeleteIf you haven't voted for the Droid yet go here and do so http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/04/vote-for-the-2009-engadget-awards/
ReplyDeleteHell yes to that Jorge!
ReplyDeleteVote for the DROID here!
I don't get what the big deal is? I've been running the launcher app put on Droid Life on my 2.0 Moto Droid, and it works great to deliver the 3d apps and multiple screens. It actually runs very smoothly once you make it the default option. I havne't noticed my phone slowing down at all, nor as it crashed or hung up at all. If I can just port that over once the 2.1 update comes thru ..giving me multitouch across the board, i'll be happy enough.
ReplyDeletePersonally I don't mind also if Flash never comes. It is buggy as hell, so with the iPad taking off, maybe more people will move towards HTML5. Just wait n see
hey Motorola just posted on their facebook that 2.1 is coming out this week!

Already on it :P
ReplyDelete@ Kellex, hey you know none of this is directed towards you @ all. It's just that I would like for whoever it is that's in charge of the OS of the Droid to be honest and up front with there customers. Like it was mentioned before in a previous comment. Motorola Droid was suppose to be a flagship device for Motorola and Verizon. Yet I don't feel or see that. We shouldn't have to choose what parts of the new OS we want. We should get the whole entire OS update. And if they don't want to than out of respect for all there customers tell us the truth. Yeah we maybe upset but we will get over it. Why because @ the very lest you were up front. You can't please everybody, got that. But treat everyone with respect.
ReplyDeleteif live wallpaper, speech to text, 5 homescreens, and animated trays are not included than they can keep the dumb update becuase I don't want it.
